Travelling to Stradbroke Island is taking a bus to Cleveland, and the Stradbroke Flyer, a free bus, to Cleveland Jetty and the ferry to Dunwich. A bus meets every ferry, and we took the bus to our place of stay…this time The Islander
The bus stopped just past the Bowls Club and you walk a bush path between some very old Paper bark trees to the Islander. In this short walk there are banksias in flower, and we also saw a beautiful Birdwing butterfly who flew away as soon as he opened his wings, and a heavily scented mock orange. There were ficus trees and Pandanus and many Paper Barks.
