Harry Munz Park and Camping Area

Hugh Munz Park is located right next to the Beenleigh Marketplace, just adjacent to the Motorway, and is an ideal location for the traveler going to the Gold Coast for an overnight free stay. The park has a parking area for vehicles, and an extra area at the entrance if the Park is busy. The gardens are green and lush and the park is edged by a river rich in birdlife.

Beenleigh is a easy turn off from the Motorway and you can drive through the town and return to the motorway on the other side making it an easy detour for a meal break, shopping or overnight stay.

Beenleigh is a beautiful thriving town in the City of Logan, with first class modern facilities, in easy reach of both the Gold Coast and Brisbane either on the M1 or by rail. be sure to visit Poppy’s Chocolates, Beenleigh Artisan Distillery and the Historical Village Museum. The park is well shaded with picnic tables and easy access to Beenleigh Marketplace, Coles and Aldi.

THINGS TO DO
Nestled between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, the City of Logan brings together natural beauty, heart-pumping adventure, historical sites and unique shopping experiences.

The city has manicured riverside parks and pristine bushland reserves; family fun for all ages, indoors and outdoors; a house museum, historical village and Buddhist temples and some of the best shopping in South-East Queensland at our iconic retail centres.

They have great places for river fishing and fun on the water, and plenty of options for bike lovers, whether its mountain bike riding in the bush or a family outing on safe bike paths.

There’s plenty to do after dark as well. The City of Logan is home to a wide variety of restaurants and cafes, cinema complexes, and venues for bands and live theatre – and there’s always something happening at the Logan Entertainment Centre.

It’s easy to keep active with world class indoor and outdoor aquatic centres, outdoor gym equipment, fitness centres and all-weather rock climbing.

There are weekend farmers markets to explore, a regional art gallery, and koalas to get close to at the Daisy Hill Koala Centre.
