The picture of sun and moon on top of the tomb is a symbol of a minority religious. if I remember correctly, it is called   Islamism. the two Chinese characters right below the symbol is the name of a branch of Islamism, which  pronounced as Xin An in Chinese.  The five vertically written Chinese says that the man buried there is called Mr Zhang.

  • The yin stands for the female; the yang stands for the male. Yin is the moon; yang is the sun. This dichotomy can be extended to include virtually all features in life and human experiences, such as cold-hot, night-day, soft-hard, invisible-visible; implicit-explicit, passive-active, hidden-manifested, covert-overt, earthly-heavenly, devilish-angelic, and dead-alive.
  • The yin and the yang co-exist in the universe. A person, when alive, stays in the yang world. When they die, however, they depart from the yang world and enter the yin world. Both the yin world and the yang world are eternal and they never cease to interact with each other.

Moon – Death and rebirth.

Sun – God or the Son.
Sun- Half – Can symbolize both the beginning and the end of life. The sun is also a symbol of heaven and the journey to heaven.

Yin-Yang Circle – The symbol comes from Taoism and Confucianism and represents harmony and balance. It denotes the two existential and controlling forces of the universe, the yin, the negative and passive feminine power depicted in black and on the left side of the circle, and the yang, the positive and active masculine power depicted in white on the right side of the circle. Yin represents the soul, wetness, cold, darkness, the moon, the Earth and sustenance. Yang represents the spirit, light, heat, dryness, day, the sun, heaven, creation and dominance.
