Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens Brisbane

The bus went from Stop 46 Adelaide Street to Mt Cootha. We first stopped at the Lookout..You can see Brisbane from there and it is a very compact city.

BrisbaneWe took the bus back to the Gardens, and walked through the herb garden to the Restaurant where we had lunch. A water dragon joined us. There were a few of them in the bamboos around the Restaurant enjoying the sun.

Water Dragon My friend stayed there and I walked to the pond, through the Arid Zone and cactus section

DSCN8164 DSCN8166 DSCN8167 DSCN8170Then I walked around the pond and into the Bamboo garden where a duck dived amongst the waterlily leaves, and a bush turkey searched the brush.
