Emu Park Queensland

I set off from the Gemfields to overnight at Yeppoon. Rockhampton Information Centre suggest a caravan park on the beach which was booked out. The lady there was not interested in sending me elsewhere and sort of sent me on my way.

I phoned the next in the brochure…Emu Park, not realising it was a long way off. I drove to the Yeppoon Information centre and followed the road back to Rockhampton, then turned to Emu Park driving along the coast road with some magic views.

Eventually I reached the town of Emu Park, guided by the very friendly Jim who owns this Caravan park and am now camped under some trees listening to fruit bats fighting in a nearby tree and saw th sunset over the low tide waters.

It is a very beautiful spot….and I look forward to seeing more tomorrow

Emu Park is a small coastal village not far from Yeppoon. The Bell Park Caravan Park is adjacent to the beach in 92 Pattison Street, Emu Park which is an ideal location for a relaxing holiday. The park has good facilities and lots of shade for caravans. The park is located next to a large beach reserve with good facilities. The resident manager is Jim Waterman. Bookings can be made by telephoning the park and please tell the park that you have seen their photos on Caravan Park Photos.
